18 Month Check Up

Kiley had her 18 month old check up and is doing AMAZING!!!!! Her doctor who we love is just so impressed by what a wonderful little girl she is! Kiley is weighing in at 23 pounds and is 31 inches long. My baby girl is quite the toddler and is so much fun to interact with!!!

We visited a park that Stephen and I have been talking about taking Kiley to since she was in my belly. We were so excited to be able to bring her and have her enjoy it. She LOVED it and Stephen and I remember playing there as kids. It amazes me how much she has grown and we are ABSOLUTELY enjoying every minute of it!!!

Summer Vacation

We had a great vacation with Grammy and Papa with visits from Uncle Jayme, Uncle Joshie, Aunt Eden, and baby boy :) We of course did lots of fun things but Kiley is just on the go all the time it is so hard to get pictures of her. We stayed at a beautiful home and we to St. Augustine in the mornings and then spent the rest of the day at the pool. Kiley LOVED it! They had a lazy river, a beach pool, and a kiddie pool with a HUGE slide that she loved going down with Daddy, Mommy and even Grammy. We really enjoyed everything about summer! Kiley loved swimming lesson, tumbling, Mommy and Me at the Y and vacation. We are so blessed to have our little ladybug in our lives!!

We have been enjoying a great summer off so far. It is hard to believe that half of it is already over. Kiley has been amazing. She is completely her own person and SOOOO much fun to hang out with. She started swim lessons and absolutely loves everything about swimming except back floating. She has been to a few places where she can interact with other kiddos and she loves to as long as Mommy is close by. Tumbling class is completely amazed me at, at Amaya Papya she meet up with some of her friends and loved running around to all the toys. She was up and down the slide which isn't a shock because she is my little climber. Below are a few pictures from our latest adventure. We went to Mommy and Me singing and dancing. She loved signing and of course running around playing.

For New Years Eve our plan was to stay out at Bonnet Creek and go to Sea World like last year but with our 2 new additions! Well we got out there a little later than planned so we made an amazing dinner and there was a huge party going to downstairs so we could hear the music and at midnight we watched the Disney fireworks. 2009 was truly the best year for us and we are looking forward to all the new things 2010 will bring.

This year we hosted the first annual Santa Hayride in our neighborhood. It was really a great success seeing how excited all of the neighborhood kids got. Santa came on a fire truck to see the kids and then we went around the neighborhood on a hayride singing songs. The babies got to ride with their mommies in the back of the truck while the bigger kids rode on the trailer filled with hay. We are so excited to have started this tradition since I participated in it every year as a child in my parents neighborhood.

We were so excited to finally go to St. Augustine for our anniversary. Every year we say we are going to go to see the Night of Lights and end up staying home. Well this year we couldn't wait to take Kiley and see the city. We had a great relaxing weekend and Kiley loved seeing all the city has and shopping all day. Kiley is such an amazing little girl. She is getting so big and so smart. She really enjoyed all of the new things she learns with her Bubbe. She amazes me each and every day. She really has the best laugh I have ever heard it is really one of those from the belly really sweet sounding laughs. She cracks up all the time. She laughs at Paxton and we love making her laugh. I love the way she lights up when she sees me or her Daddy. We still have not heard Ma-ma from her every time I say Ma Ma she yells Da Da. She is walking along the furniture and lets go but only stands for a second or two. She is crawling really fast and is gone in a matter of seconds. She has also discovered the stairs so she usually tries to end up there. This month she really shows us how much she loves to laugh.

It is so amazing to see these two together. Eden and I have talked and dreamed about this for so long and now we are raising our families together. We had a Disney weekend planned. We were to stay at the beautiful Waldorf Astoria and take Kiley to a few different Disney parks. Well Stephen woke up at the hotel Saturday sick and off he went to the doctor and was told he had the flu. So Kiley and I stayed at the hotel and continued to have a great time with Grammy and Papa. Daddy was so upset to miss Kiley first trip to Disney so we decide to only go to Animal Kingdom. Kiley LOVED seeing all the animals. As soon as we got into the park we saw Lilo and Stich. I was so excited because recently we have been up in the morning at a new time so we turned on the TV and she loves that show (if your interested in watching it too its on the Disney channel at 5:30 AM :) So I took her up to them and she got so excited! She was also very excited to meet Winnie the Pooh and Friends. She gave Pooh a kiss and Tigger a five.

I feel like this monthly post keeps coming around faster and faster. I am truly amazed at how much Kiley has grown and changes. I am SO truly blessed to have this beautiful baby girl in my life. She is doing great, growing strong and healthy. She cruises all over the house and we are always chasing her. She gets upset if you take something away from her or block her from crawling somewhere Daddy says that's the Doyle in her :) We love her so much and couldn't imagine our life without her. She brings us so much joy and has made our lives so filled with love! Her new crawl she shoots her legs up and walks this way.

Today we went to Lake Eola to take part in the Buddy Walk on the team Emerson's Entourage! Last year we all 3 participated too but Kiley was in my belly :)

Best Friends :) Eden's Labor Nurse was so great and loved us she told us how much we made her miss her best friend because of they way we look at each other. I truly do love Eden just as a sister!
Kiley being born was the most amazing day and experience but being on the other side and watching Ashden born is right up there. It was truly so amazing to be there for Eden and Josh and watch their little boy come into the world.

Kiley Has Eye Surgery

This morning our little buggy had to go in and have surgery on her eye because she had a blocked tear duct. She could not eat when she woke up this morning so we were really worried she would be really cranky. She was great on the way there no crying at all. We got to the hospital at 6:00 and they brought her to her room at 6:30 then they took her for surgery at 7:30. The doctor came in at 7:45 said he was done and it should take about 15-30 minutes for her to wake up and then they would bring her to us. She came in at 8:15! We are home now and she is doing great!!

Dunk for Down Syndrome!

Today at work we had our first annual Dunk for Down Syndrome event! The children could bring a dollar and try to dunk their teacher. It was such a great success we raised over $1100 for Emerson's Entourage which is the team I will be walking for at the Buddy Walk on October 17th at Lake Eola.

The kids were throwing the ball so hard I was scared of the ball hitting me!

Kiley is Eight Months Old!

I feel like every month I write wow I can't believe she is another month older but it is so crazy that our baby is 8 months old. This last month she has grown so much she now says da-da and pulls up on everything. She walks around holding on to objects and loves to crawl. She has tried almost all fruits and veggies but isn't a fan of corn, green beans, or peas. Our baby girl is so amazing and we feel so blessed to watch her grow.

She is always on the move so it is hard to get a picture of her :)

Kiley's eye surgery is scheduled for Friday, October 9th. That is really all we know she is going in for a pre-op appointment on Tuesday, October 6th and we will find out all of the details then.

She is in the process of dropping her third nap and teething so it is normal for her to be a little cranky at night time but Mommy and Daddy were getting ready to go out and so Mommy said here I will put some Orajel on her before we go. As I put my finger in to rub it on I felt it her very first tooth. We were so excited and so amazed by this little tooth :) Our little girl is getting so big but we love watching her grow and learn new things. So all night at dinner and the movie we kept saying wow she has a tooth. Stephen was really cute though because he said he is still shocked from a couple of weeks ago when he watched her on the TV camera roll over in the crib grab her paci and put it in her mouth. It is amazing that she is learning so much. :)

Mommy's Birthday

My Birthday was such a great time. I was really spoiled by everyone for a few days. It started on Saturday night when we went to dinner at Bahama Breeze with friends and then go carting. Sunday Grandma, Grandpa, and Aunt Gail came over to make breakfast for us :) On Tuesday which was the second day of school some of my room moms got together and brought in cookies, brownies, and drinks for all the kids. It was so sweet for them to pull that together so quickly. Tuesday night we went to Grammy and Grandpa's where they continued to spoil me :) We had yummy Cheesecake Factory. My birthday was such an amazing time because this year I had the best gift of all sharing it with me. I don't have many pictures from my birthday actually I guess because I am the one usually taking them so Grandma will have to send us some from her camera.

Kiley's new friend. On Sunday while we were eating breakfast Kiley had a friend come and visit her in the backyard. Every time we put her in the high chair on Sunday her friend came out to visit.

Kiley had her friends Kendall and Lauren over to play in her playroom. Now that Kiley is starting to move around and play we are trying to get her playroom ready a little at a time. Daddy got the floor all cleared up. Next it will be decorating time.

Kiley loves her play rug she got from her "big sis" Reagan. Reagan is my friends daughter who told us the other day that she is going to be Kiley's big sister since she doesn't have one and Kendall has Lauren as a big sis so Kiley needs one. Reagan also has a little brother so she knows what it is like to be a big sis.

Eden's Mommy (Kiley and Ashden's Bubbe) and I threw Eden's Baby Shower. It was such an amazing time and was very exciting to see her and baby Ashden spoiled!

Paxton has really been loving her some Kiley. She follows her around the house and is really taking a liking to her but today she really showed me how much she loves her. While in the play room I was putting books away and turned around to find this..............So in love :)

Kiley's 6 Month Dr. Update

Kiley had her 6 month check up with the doctor yesterday. She is weighing in at 14 pounds 6 ounces and is 25 inches long. Her doctor was very impressed with her sitting by herself and lifting her tummy off the ground. She said we should be prepared for crawling very soon. That sounded crazy to me :) She got two shots and was not happy with the second one but Daddy was there for her and then he passed her off to Mommy once it was over. Kiley still has the clogged tear duct so her doctor said that at her 9 month check up if she still has it we will have to be referred to the eye doctor for surgery.......our fingers are crossed it will come unclogged in the next 3 months. We are so blessed to have a beautiful healthy little girl!!!!

Kiley is Six Months Old!

Happy half birthday baby girl! It is so hard to believe our baby girl is six months old. SIX MONTHS! A HALF OF A YEAR! 181 DAYS! It feels like we were just in the hospital. I can't believe how fast these months have flown by but I also can not even think of what life was before her. Her smile and personality that she is developing really melts my heart. Seeing how she interacts and how excited she gets to see me and Stephen really is amazing. She is sitting up and rolling over. She is also teething which breaks my heart. Kiley is truly our blessing and I am so lucky to be her mom.

Kiley's Play Date

Kiley went on a play date and had the best time. She got to go swimming which she has really come to love and she played with a lot of new toys. Plus our little girl is sitting.........mostly! On July 11th (my brothers 21st b-day) she sat by herself for real. She is getting better each day but still at times will forget to catch herself and she falls over :) It was so amazing to see Kiley and Kendall together SITTING and playing. They loved touching each other and interacting much different from when they were weeks old and would just lay by each other :)

Kiley loved Ben. She even showed him with a kiss :)
